The Ground Zero of Ground Zeros - 2

In the first post of this series, The Ground Zero of Ground Zeros, Dredd Blog focused on the religious time bomb that is centered in Jerusalem.

The revolution taking place in Egypt lends street cred to the concerns Dredd Blog brought out into the open.

While the revolutionary reality this issue speaks of may not be based on what is traditionally considered to be tangible social direction, nevertheless, the inability of government and media (MOMCOM) to see it coming tells us a lot.

So lets take pause and take another look as we do so:
Critics say Israel's leaders have seemed unprepared to react to the likelihood of a leadership change in Egypt, whose landmark 1979 peace treaty with Israel has been a cornerstone of Israel's stability ... Critics say Israel's leaders have so far seemed surprisingly unprepared to react to leadership change in Egypt, whose landmark 1979 peace treaty with Israel has long been a cornerstone of Israel's stability ... Even as late as Thursday, many Israeli officials were still confidently predicting that Mubarak would survive until at least September. An Israeli lawmaker telephoned Mubarak on Thursday afternoon to offer words of encouragement ... Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's right-wing government so far has focused its official statements on warning against an Islamist takeover of Egypt. In a speech Tuesday to European leaders, Netanyahu sounded an alarm that Egypt could "go the way of Iran."
(LA Times, emphasis added). Go the "way of Iran" ... such as censorship, oppression, fake elections ... like that is not what Egypt was under Mubarak!?!?

Anyway, since the U.S. gets its middle east "wisdom" ("Mossadisms") from Israel, when that "wisdom" is shown to be canned cluelessness, we know what happens next, which is always more of the W direction, since that is all there is on their compass:
"You can't be a friend of Arab democracy if you're an enemy of Palestinian freedom," Levy said. "In that sense, they [Mossad] are as out of touch with Middle East reality as Mubarak was" ... As Israel faces what many fear could turn into its most serious national security threat in decades, fault lines are widening over how it should respond and some critics say the government appears ill prepared ... With the resignation Friday of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, who was widely seen as Israel's most predictable Arab ally, a quiet panic is spreading here as Israelis debate their next move.
(LA Times, above, emphasis added). A post yesterday over at Shoe08 Blog pointed out that the Egyptian Revolution came at the anniversary of the Iranian Revolution which threw out another MOMCOM puppet, the Shah of Iran, 32 years ago.

That is sure to make Isreal and The Keystone Komplex all superstitious, roguish, and mavericky for sure ... hell, they may even want to bring back the Rabbit Hole Rainbow of scary colors.

Battle Lines Drawn In Egyptian Sand

The little people are not ready for something as sophisticated as real freedom from oppression - "they couldn't handle it."

So says the Egyptian military, in what seems like talking out of the other side of their mouth, in that they now say they support Mubarak's plan to stay in office until "free and fair elections" can take place.

Which is a time and place on the cosmic time scale that exists probably about two days before hell freezes over.

Any elections which that rat pack can imagine will be like U.S.A. elections: the dullard parties choose a line up of criminals, wackos, and clueless lames for the primaries, thereafter the people choose from the remaining two which dullard or phony they will vote for to solve their chronic problems these dullards and phonies brought on in the first place.

Lackeys who have not a dime's worth of difference between them once they get into office, behind the tanks and behind the barbed wire demarcation lines, safe in their propaganda colored ivory towers.

Which also means that most folks in the world vote for only the flavor of the ice cream they require us to buy, after they make it out of the ingredients only they may choose.

It is the business as usual election cycle, or as Dredd Blog likes to put it, elections in the W direction with candidates from the Circle W Cowboys.

The world of gun barrel diplomacy, gun barrel democracy, gun barrel elections, all in support of gun barrel factories and financiers of MOMCOM international.

This is the product MOMCOM sells to the world, "MOMCOM freedom", which is the product the world's peoples resist, and this is the product that destroys the wealth and sanity of all nations who buy into it, including the U.S.A.

Who "wudda thunk" we would be watching "ourselves" on TV, the "ourselves" that existed once upon a time when we still protested oppression?

UPDATE: Zig Zag Zig Zag: Mubarak leaves Dodge City along with Suleiman.

The long and winding road leads to ... well where she stops no one seems to know, as President Obama declares "Egypt will never be the same."

Ah yes, reminds me of some song lyrics:
There was music in the cafés at night
And revolution in the air
(Tangled Up In Blue, Bob Dylan).

Iraq: World's Number One Oil Producer? - 3

In the Second Post of this series Iraq: World's Number One Oil Producer? - 2, we raised eyebrows, again.

How could Iraq become numero uno?

Remember first that the top producer is necessarily the one bringing the most out of the ground, but not necessarily the one with the most in the ground.

The WiggyLeeks dudes show us a memorandum which looks and feels like what I have said betimes, the Saudis are bloviating about the oil they think they have.

The USA bloviated about Alaskan oil reserves for years.

Business does it for pecuniary gain and power:
For example, exaggerated estimates can raise the price of an oil company’s stock. Also, a government may use inflated reserve estimates in order to enhance their political clout and their ability to obtain loans.
(Project Censored). This is one of those "propaganda is not a victim-less crime" moments, because when the populace comes out of the rabbit hole to find they are not ten feet tall, somebody is going to want to hang the man behind the curtain.

Eventually learning the oil truth will bring pressure, and what would be a better feel good moment than saying Iraq's oil will save the day, see we had good reasons for saving the nation by "taking out Saddam Hussein" (a.k.a. "stealing the resources of the Iraqi people").

When the populace is told "die economically and become destitute or accept our revised view of history", which will be the operative dynamic then, the populace may go for that fantasy, and it may work to deceive the populace a bit longer.

But that policy will not end then and there will it?

Oh, and we are so corny to associate war with oil eh?

Oh, and again we are so corny to associate sanity with oil wars eh?

The One World DNA

Who knows whether MOMCOM's psychological problems, the "complex", would be healed more easily if MOMCOM was a creature from only one nation?

We don't have the choice of attempting to heal the growing sickness that way it would seem.

A federal court of appeals, the Fifth Circuit, has touched upon the internationalization of the DNA of MOMCOM, bringing clear focus to the strange creature MOMCOM is.

In a case decided yesterday, that court dealt with a complex subject:
This case involves two class actions brought by gasoline retailers against oil production companies (most of which are owned in whole or in part by OPEC member nations), alleging antitrust violations.
(In RE: Refined Petro, page 1). The case involved antitrust violations against companies in many nations, from Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, to the USA, and the bottom line ended up being:
Convinced that these matters deeply implicate concerns of foreign and defense policy, concerns that constitutionally belong in the executive and legislative departments, we conclude that we lack jurisdiction to adjudicate the claims. We hold alternatively that the complaints seek a remedy that is barred by the act of state doctrine, that is, an order and judgment that would interfere with sovereign nations’ control over their own natural resources. Accordingly, we affirm the judgment dismissing the complaints.
(ibid). In other words, you will have to solve these problems over in a department of government where the people, in the form of a jury, will have nothing to do with it, and where laws of evidence and sworn truth do not apply.

Some of those nations have a king who is the police, the congress, the judge, and the jury, so it is clear what we can expect in that forum, because "the king can do no wrong".

The international scene, where our future plays out, is composed in some cases of various kings who can do no wrong, each doing something different, each competing against the other for our oil money, the price we pay for their goodies.

And the U.S. federal court says our country's judicial system can't do anything about what they charge us for their oil products, which we use for just about everything we do each day.

As you might surmise, that reminds me of a song:
Broken hands on broken ploughs
Broken treaties, broken vows
Broken pipes, broken tools
People bending broken rules
Hound dog howling, bullfrog croaking
Everything is broken
(Everything Is Broken, Bob Dylan). Even the mechanic's shop, where things go to be repaired, is broken.

The states are going broke, the nation is going broke, meanwhile the military is all over the place breaking things.

Everything is broken.

One Offspring of Propaganda - 2

On this date two years ago, about a month before Bernie Madoff pled guilty, Dredd Blog posted the first of this series, One Offspring of Propaganda. A Washington's Blog post shows that things have not changed much. Anyway, here is the text of the post two years ago today:
Enron is the offspring of the type of propaganda which we may associate with The Glittering Generality. Enron, as the epitome of propaganda that infects corporate America from head to toe, did not lie when it said:
Enron Corp. was named today the “Most Innovative Company in America” for the sixth consecutive year by Fortune magazine.
(Enron). It collapsed into the black hole of infamy not long after that because it was an economic glittering generality. Enron had practised the fine art of soft psyops upon its employees, customers, and ultimately the American people. It had close friends in the highest places in American government, including Bush II and his regime. It was propaganda nirvana. Enron was even one of those corporations which put the 'oil' into the military oil complex. We can only hope that Enron's horrible and unfortunate collapse and bankruptcy is only a partial microcosm of America's economic reality today. An economic reality that is now in the dire straights that evaporated Enron from existence. Let us hope that "as goes Enron so goes America" is false. Soberly remember all those flowery words which completely and totally fooled Fortune Magazine and every governmental and private watchdog in our midst. Soberly remember the Enron styled words "our economy is fundamentally sound" which comprised the propaganda statements they flung at us, and remember those who made them. Why? So that Enron styled propaganda (which destroyed the lives of many Americans who did not see it coming and who had blind faith in all things propaganda) ceases to exist in our land. “America’s Most Innovative Company” was a sham just like Madoff enterprises, but they were easily able to catapult the propaganda over expert heads. Enron had friends in high places, the Enthymemes, but has no friends in the 99.9% of America we call the people.
One president who "catapulted the propaganda" canceled a trip to Geneva when a complaint was filed against him.

The Deceit Business - 2

Early on in the life of Dredd Blog, we began with a focus on one of the largest enterprises in American culture.

The first post in this series, "The Deceit Business", focused on the vast enterprise we call the propaganda arm of MOMCOM, the mass media.

Here is that post revisited:

Two scientists who are well respected by their peers were interviewed about the subject matter of deceit.

Deceit is defined as "concealment or distortion of the truth for the purpose of misleading; duplicity; fraud; cheating".

One of the two who participated in that interesting interview is a world renowned professor of linguistics at MIT:
"Noam Chomsky: One of the most important comments on deceit, I think, was made by Adam Smith. He pointed out that a major goal of business is to deceive and oppress the public.

And one of the striking features of the modern period is the institutionalization of that process, so that we now have huge industries deceiving the public — and they're very conscious about it, the public relations industry. Interestingly, this developed in the freest countries—in Britain and the US — roughly around time of WWI, when it was recognized that enough freedom had been won that people could no longer be controlled by force. So modes of deception and manipulation had to be developed in order to keep them under control
"
(Origin of Deceit, emphasis added). But if you have read most anything, you will know that Chomsky is a persona non grata in establishment propaganda circles.

He is dismissed as an intellectual. In other words he is "not real".

After the people had looked at the matter, first in the form of a grand jury, then later in the form of a criminal petite jury, they convicted a well known business person in a very large US company of deceit and conspiracy to deceive the public.

This week a Federal Appeals Court affirmed the conviction:
"Enron crashed into sudden bankruptcy. An initial investigation uncovered an elaborate conspiracy to deceive investors about the state of Enron’s fiscal health. That conspiracy allegedly included overstating the company’s financial situation for more than two years in an attempt to ensure that Enron’s short-run stock price remained artificially high."
(U.S. v Jeffrey K. Skilling, U.S. Court of Appeals, 5th Circuit, Case #06-20885, Jan. 6, 2009, emphasis added).

Hey, it is official. Noam Chomsky is an intellectual and he is very, very real.

Since that post we have isolated the meme complex which the deceit business belongs to: MOMCOM.

And we have identified the father of MOMCOM, who had the seeds of deceit within and those seeds eventually evolved into the universe of spin, taking America to dizzying heights.

All empires that have taken the neoCon red spin pill end up running from their people, running from every reality, and then finally running into the wall.

You Are For Us Or Against Us - 2

The unraveling of Arab dictatorships, like the Mubarak regime in Egypt, makes one wonder how long this uprising against U.S. puppet regimes has been coming.

The answer varies depending on who you ask, and what country you are talking about.

The following Dredd Blog post first appeared on this blog on this date two years ago:

By the time Bush II high tailed it back to Texas, the "against us" movement around the world was building up an incredible head of steam.

The once unthinkable "against us" side of the Bush II equation is now beginning to clearly, openly, and resoundingly get to the point where it increasingly effects our national security:
Kyrgyzstan says its decision to close a US base that serves as a vital supply route for US and Nato operations in Afghanistan is "final".
(BBC News). They said this as US officials were saying it was still being "negotiated". If countries will defy us in critical military necessities like this one, it would take next to nothing to defy us economically.

We have asked the question about how Bush II policies have weakened our standing in the world over the past eight years.

We have to keep asking these questions and get on to resolving and reversing the damaging acts of Bush II and his cronies who got us to this unfortunate place.

A place where world leaders see little to lose when they harm us.
The consensus is that things have been going further downhill as the WiggyLeeks show.
